ai-powered algorithms designed to facilitate various data analyses
The Herd is a suite of AI-powered algorithms developed by KP Labs to enhance onboard satellite data processing and analysis. It consists of three core components: data pre-processing, data analysis algorithms, and post-processing techniques. These elements work together to support tasks such as semantic segmentation, object detection, classification, and super-resolution reconstruction—particularly for multi- and hyperspectral imagery.
Designed for real-time telemetry monitoring and anomaly detection, The Herd enables efficient signal processing directly on satellite hardware. It supports deployment of AI models in orbit with robust verification processes, ensuring reliability during missions. The algorithms are tailored for space constraints, using techniques like quantization and optimization to maintain performance on resource-limited platforms like CubeSats.
